Green bean and oats cutlet



Green bean and oats cutlet /patties are very rich in protein and fiber are good for tea time snacks. Good for a tea party and as a healthy starter. For this recipe, I have used split moong beans or green beans or green gram dal with the skin we can use whole green beans sprout.

 What we need

½ cup soaked green beans

½ cup roasted rolled oats

2 tbsp. chopped onion

1 teaspoon chopped ginger

2 green chili chopped

3 tbsp. chopped coriander

1 small boiled grated potato

¼ teaspoon turmeric

½ teaspoon red chili powder

½ teaspoon dry mango powder

½  teaspoon cumin powder

Salt as to taste

Oil for shallow fry

How to make

Cook beans with 1 cup water until beans become soft and all water evaporated. Now mash beans with a spoon or blend in chopper until beans look like coarse paste.


Take out in a big mixing bowl, now combine all ingredients in beans and mix well.

Make equal size patties of any shape of your choice.

Now heat a non-stick pan, grease with oil, cook all patties until both sides evenly turn golden brown.

Serve hot with mint chutney or sauce.


Roast oats properly to avoid stickiness, patties can be a deep fry if you have a tea party.I did not try baking, but if any reader wants to do  baking you can do and please  share your experience with me.

Garlic flavour Penne

Garlic flavour Penne

 Penne with Garlic

Garlic flavour Penne is easy to make a pasta dish.

What we need

1 cup cooked penne pasta

6 button mushroom(chopped)

2 baby corn ,sliced diagonally

1 small capsicum cut into thin strip

5 clove garlic( grated)

2 tbsp. olive  oil

1/4 tsp. mix herb

salt and pepper as to taste

How to make

Heat oil in a pan ,then put the garlic cook till garlic turn light brown add the baby corn and  stir 1 minute on high flame add mushroom ,capsicum cook more 3-4 minute add pasta herb .salt, black pepper and toss well turn off heat add parmesan cheese mix serve hot with grated parmesan.

I love to have gouda cheese with it.


you can add dry basil  to give more flavour.

you can make spaghetti in the same way.

Spicy Baked potato

what you need

200 gm. baby potato

1 tbsp. hung curd

1/2 tsp. red chilli powder

1/2 tsp cumin seed

1 whole red chilli

1/2 tsp coriander seed

1/2 tsp. corn flour



First clean potato and  soak in hot water with the pinch of a salt (water should be in boiling temperature) for 10 minutes. Heat a pan and roast cumin seed coriander seed, whole red chilli, when it is done make a powder.

Now take out potato and dry with help of cloth and keep in bowl add curd,red chilli powder,salt and corn flour mix well now add 1/2 roasted spices powder( save 1/2) arrange in wire grill and bake( in my oven I bake for 20 minute ) till it turn brown if in your oven you don’t have wire grill you can take an oven proof dish greased  with 2/3 drop oil and arrange potato and bake it.serve hot with mint dip.baked potato
