½cupSprouted vaal/ Broad Beans / Fava Beanssoaked and sprouted
1small onion sliced
½inchginger chopped
1teaspooncumin seeds jeera
1/3teaspoonturmeric powder
2clove
½inchcinnamon
2bay leaf
3green chilli
½teaspoonred chilli powder
2tablespoonghee or cooking oil
1pinchhing/Asafoetida
Salt to taste
Chopped coriander for garnishing
Instructions
Soak sprouted beans in boiling water for 15 minutes then drain from water.
Heat ghee or oil in a heavy bottom pan. When ghee is hot add cumin/jeera and let them crackle.
Now add sliced onion, green chilli, ginger and the clove cinnamon, bay leaf hing/Asafoetida and sauté until onion becomes golden brown.
Add turmeric powder stir.
Now add beans and sauté about 3-4 minute over medium heat then add rice and salt mix cover and cook on low heat for 5 minutes.
Turn off heat and garnish with coriander leaf serve hot with plain curd.
