Soy Burger Recipe

What we need for patties

  • ½ cup soya granule
  • 1 medium size potato boil
  • 2 tablespoon rolled oats
  • 2 tablespoon cabbage finely chopped
  • ½ teaspoon green chilli paste
  • 1 tablespoon green peas crushed
  • 2 tablespoon grated carrot
  • 1 teaspoon sweet corn
  • ½ teaspoon corn flour
  • Salt as to taste
  • Cooking Oil for frying patty as needed.
  • Corn flour to dust the patty

For burger

  • 3 whole wheat burger bun
  • Iceberg lettuce
  • Onion ring
  • cucumber slice

For sauce

  • 4 tablespoon mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon mustard sauce
  • 2 tablespoon tomato sauce

How to make

In a mixing bowl mash potato with the help of fork or masher. Combine soya granule, oats. cabbage, peas, green chilli paste carrot, sweet corn salt mix well.
Dived into 3 equal portions and give a shape for patties. Dust with corn flour and Keep in fridge for 1 hour.
Heat oil in a shallow frying pan or tawa gently place the patty on and fry all patty when one side becomes golden brown flip carefully and cook another side until both sides golden brown and crisp.
For the burger, sauce combines all three sauces together and keep aside.

Assembling burger

Warm burger bun in buttered pan. Spread burger sauce on bottom bun and place lettuce then gently place the patty and again add lettuce onion ring, cucumber slice and drizzle some more sauce.Cover with bun top insert a toothpick in middle to keep burger intact
Note if the patty mixture does not hold together add some corn flour or breadcrumb and mix

Recipe Notes
  1. If the patty mixture does not hold together add some corn flour or breadcrumb and mix.
  2. For dairy free use soy mayonnaise.
  3. You Can add sliced cheese for more richness.
