Stuffed Bhindi

Stuffed Bhindi Masala 

What we need

250- gram okra /bhindi

3 tablespoon besan /chickpea flour

1/2 teaspoon cumin seed

1/2 tablespoon teaspoon dry mango powder or 2 tbsp lemon juice

1/3 teaspoon red chilli powder

1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder

1 teaspoon coriander powder

1 teaspoon ginger garlic paste

1 pinches (asafoetida /hing)

1 big size onion sliced

Salt to taste

2 tablespoon oil

How to make

Wash okra (bhindi) and dry with the cloth. Cut into 2-inch pieces and make a slit for stuffing.

For stuffing in a bowl mix besan red chilli powder, mango powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, ginger garlic paste, salt add a ½ tsp oil and mix well.

Stuff the okra/bhindi with stuffing.

Heat oil in a pan add cumin seed, asafoetida when cumin started crackle add onion stir and cook for a 1 minutes add okra/bhindi cover and cook on low flame for 6-7 minutes or until done stir occasionally.

Add leftover masala when okra/bhindi is almost done and cook.

Serve hot with Roti/paratha or as a side dish .
