                          Peanut sauce

Peanut sauce can be served with salad, grilled vegetable, spring roll, barbecue and Chinese dishes Peanut sauce is widely used in widely used in the cuisines of Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand,Vietnam, China.

What we need

2-5 Red and green chilli (use more if you like hot)

1/2 tsp.Tamarind paste

50 gm. roasted peanut       IMG_3207

1/2 tsp. soy sauce

2 clove garlic

4tbsp. Brown sugar or palm sugar

1/2 inch ginger peeled

1 lime juice

1/2 cup water

salt to taste

How to make

Grind peanut bit coarsely keep aside.Now grind the sugar, garlic, chili,ginger and make a smooth paste.

In a mixing bowl put  ground peanut, the ginger-garlic paste made earlier, tamarind pulp,lime juice, soy sauce, and salt and mix well. Then slowly add water mix again until combined .You can keep the consistency of sauce as you desire by adjusting the amount of water . (But it should not be too thin or thick). It goes well with salad and baked vegetable. My daughter and I like it with chips! 🙂
